The Chamberlin – Rhythmate

Produced in a garage behind the family home in California there were only around 10 unit’s made.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The Rhythmate uses a 1″ magnetic tape loop which is read by a tape head that can be moved up or down to play back 14 different tape loops.Each loop has 3 tracks on it, making a total of 42 different drum loops. A sub-lever shifts the head across the tape to align it with one of the 3 loops.
You can adjust the tempo by moving the spindle up or down which affects the speed of the tape moving across the play head.
It also came with bass, treble and volume controls, an input jack and a built-in amplifier with a 12″ speaker.
